Northern Region - Childhood games (Penang/Kedah)

This is the page just to document the childhood games that we played during the 80s, it involve very little or not $ at all. All you need is members.

so below are the list

1. Marble - (bakuli) - brief instruction, on the flood draw a circle and a line behind it, then about 10 feet draw another line. all players go behind the line of the circle, each put 1 or 2 marbles into the circle, from there toss your master marble to the 10 feet line, who's master marble nearest to the line will be tossing first and trying to hit all in the circle, if you hit all the marble that is out is your to keep, making sure that you marble is not landed in the circle, if that happens, if not mistaken you need to put in your marble into the circle and let the one who have the most marble to hit it. obviously someone's marble will break.

2. AEIOU - one person infront all the players at his back, when he reads AEIOU all the playes will move closer and closer to him, once a person touches the one who read AEIOU all will run 3 steps and stop, then the main person will walk 3 step to reach the replacement at the frount.

3.Hide and seek - (Ah Chi Lot)

4. Kar-Li-Toy - in a 3 evenly distributed line, with a person at each line guarding, the other team will tray to go though all the guard , if any guards touches any one of the players, then the switch happens.

5. Kan-dok  (top) - draw a circle in the ground, everyone must land its top into the circle, and the one who did not make it will put his top into the circle for annihilation, this is brutal and dangerous, play with caution.

6. S -

7. fish fight

8. spider fight

9. kite fight

10. 7 stones
