2012 Hydro Majestic Hotel Penang

Surprise, surprise, this hotel, really can commendable, lets mention the rooms first, it was clean and tidy and toilets too, rather standard with no LCD for now. We'll have to wait for the next upgrade, or they might have it in the suites.

The access from the car park is not so good, not so convenient, with narrow hallways to the lobby.

The pool is rather small but for kids, they'll love it. Not much of any shady area and it must be hot during the sun sets. The access to the beach is far across the overhead bridge, not so convenient with toddler, you better drive over there.

Here is the commendable part, the "food". It was truly amazingly delicious and rather affordable. check out the pics below, and you also will enjoy a smooth serenity music from the live band.

This is really a blessing in disguise , apparently after getting this shoes my old ones become a crocodile . After using a plot of brand from Nike to Adidas and reebok, I really feel that reebok, will not disappoint you at all, and other brand is really a hype with 2 years life span. So that depends on you if you are a brand slave , you'll have to part with your $$$ every 2 year, it's not for me, what about you?

Today we went to celebrate my father in law's birthday at Holiday Inn, Penang, before hand I've made a reservation using my membership that entitle me 50% on total bills. Apparently the so called T&C, say that I need to show my card at the counter, oh my God, i told myself, i couldn't find my card with me. So I ask the cashier to see if I can get them the number later when I come home. She says, "yes you can, you can fax it to us, now you go an enjoy your dinner" Sweet!. Yes indeed she gave me 50% discount on the total bill.

So later i came home at about midnight and need to put my daughter to sleep, that already pass midnight, i tried to faxed over, I got engage tone. :(. I will definitely try tomorrow as I would not want her to be in trouble.

5 Dec 2013- so I have been the member for this for a year now, what is my experience? very bad indeed, to elaborate further, the service is good, but the reason that the give when there is no one pick up the phone is "too many customers". Don't they make a survey of how many customers that they have and how many call center agents they need? Like what the government do to the number of doctors they need from the number of population.

Placing for a hotel reservation is not very good as they need to confirmed that with the hotel within one week, by that time all will be forgotten.

It is very difficult to plan you holidays with the membership per say.

But if you are a good eater, this would be a good choice, easier to make reservation, you can called direct to the restaurant and make the reservation.

 For me, never want to be any member for this sort of things anymore in future.  

2012 Panasonic nanoe

 Due to my boy always got running nose , now we got nanoe to see if it works for him, so after the first day of the installation, the dust indicator turns red and back to blue withch signifies it is really dusty in the room. And the water just runs out, after one day. hmmm...must keep mantining the water...bad bad bad...., well see what happens more days to come.

 

Impressively designed water containers, which have a special design stand, very strange looking but works pretty well

Once you over-turned the container, the legs will be retracted and not being in the way when you put back to its filter body.

 

This is how actually it will stand when you need to refill the water, which in our house, sometimes when the humidity is not good, it will run out in 12 hours. huh!, refilling time, again need to perform a maintenance task..:D

This place sell one of the good Hokkien Mee. Need to be there early too as there is not much parking bays around, if you do not mind, just walk for some distance for a try out.

2012 MengKuang Dam Penang

This is really the first time i've been here, after living here 30+ years in Penang, but of course I stay in the Island. As you can see this place is a wonderful place for exercise - to recommend only in the morning, due to the open space and the hot weather. This location can be easily find in google maps or here 5.385182,100.50608 to make things faster for you. Beware - there are various types of wild animal moving around, as pictures above, an monitor lizard, fish and we seen some gekco running fast pass though us on the tar road and of course monkeys too. So just beware and keep alerts always.

 

2012 SHUNKA @ AUTOCITY PG

Imagine - all this for +5% tax for less than RM50.00 - phew!, including refillable green teas. Taste hmmm....really.....really not bad at all, car parks - ample. A must to have lunch and dinner, I hope this one will trivial there in Raja Uda V-WALK vicinity.

2012 - 9 Emperor GOD

Not sure what is the name of this temple, but sure that this one provide free food and they catch is that you need to wash the dishes after that, not bad. Well not so fast - there is a donation box, please do so if you can!.

This place is pack with worshipers, candles, joss sticks and all the praying ornaments can be found and sold.

There is also a schedule for the show----SHOW - ya scantily clad pro singer to entertains too.

so if you are nearby do catch it out.

2012 - welcome GreenPan

Welcome to the world of Green Pan, what PAN? - Green! my gosh, after scouting around for some new pan and we decided to get this one for a try, according to them, this one is better and more safer that the teflon pan, till now, i still never had the chance to user it, anyone care to provide some inputs? the best this is after purchasing this one, we saw another one ...now with a TV commercial playing and demonstrating the usage and the goodness of the so called - Granite coated pan, Wow and it shows miraculously easy to use and just cheaper by rm10-20. Long story short, we will see how it performs comparing to teflon in terms of price and performance.!

2012 macalister lane coffee shop

A Nice place to have breakfast, only few stores that are recommendable, the chee cheong fun, the char koay teow, the wan tham mee. about nearby the other coffee shop, there is a great koay teow thng which is there for centuries, and it is the only stall there and the patrons are amazing. they are there for one thing and one thing only - Koay teow thng, unfortunately, it is not allowed to bring over the the other coffee shop.

I will update the shop name soon.
