2011 May St Anne Photo Trip

wanted to visit this place for quite some time, but..you know, time ...! well , apparently we mange to make the time. there is an annual festival at this church every year on July 29, so before the lines down, the jams, and the lights out...I better go there to take some photos.

This place has transformed so much that I could not recognized, since the last time I visited. The roads are upgraded, more new buildings, toilets, dormitories, and landscaping. Very impressive and hope it will continue to be much better.

If I can make it on July 29 2011, please check back from more photos.

Penang Tunnel proposal to be studied carefully first, says CM

There is no guarantee that the proposed 6.5km tunnel project linking Gurney Drive on Penang island and Bagan Ajam on the mainland would be implemented.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said he was not sure if the project would materialise but the state government would give it a try.

“All technical studies including hydrology test would be carried out by experts. The green lights will only be given if everything is done properly,” he said in his winding up speech at the state assembly.

He was replying to a query by acting Opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr Hilmi Yahaya (BN-Teluk Bahang) who raised his concern over the project.

“Since a credible company Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) has approached us, we can’t just simply chase them away,” Lim said.

He said the state would ensure there would be an open tender if the project goes ahead.

The tunnel which was proposed by BUCG stemmed from a memorandum of understanding between BUCG and the state government which was signed in Putrajaya.

It was one of eight agreements signed between Malaysia and China in the presence of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Chinese premier Wen Jiabao on April 28.

Happy Mother's Day 2011

Today we went to celebrate Mother's day in Berjaya Hotel Penang, called the Cafe, as simple yet the setup is more conducive for dining, apparently for the price of rm40.00++ to my surprise, they throw in a life singer for entertainment. Not bad. But one thing to complaint, as I have made to the staff. At the end where the long sofa/bench is at, the ventilation and air conditioned is very poor, never thought that the staff would know that, and only after we completed the meal and I told them and there is this waitress, she is very nice and switch on the cooling fan and direct it to us. But at lease they have the fan, and if anyone of you visit and had to seat there, please tell the staff to on the fan. Well that's for 2011 Mother's Day. Photos to follow soon.

Reservation:10/10
Food variety: 9/10
Environment:9/10
Car park: RM3.00 per entry after the validation.
Time:6.30pm to 9.30pm
